Get ready for an unforgettable, hour-long adventure with our Royal Dolphin Swim—an authentically Bahamian experience that brings you closer than ever to these extraordinary creatures. Begin with a brief orientation from our expert trainers before stepping into the dolphins’ all-natural marine habitat to meet our native Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins.
The first half of the program lets you connect on a deeper level as you meet, hug, pet, and learn about these fascinating animals in their deep-water environment. For the second half, head to our private lagoon beach, a serene and sustainable setting, for even more intimate interactions. Here, you'll engage with two playful dolphins in shallow water activities, including a thrilling dorsal tow, star turns, cradling and hugging, and an exciting foot-push with a boogie board.
Every moment of this program is designed to ensure a high level of interaction, guided by trainers who are passionate about teaching you not only about the dolphins but also about their natural marine habitat and the importance of sustainability.

Before and after your Royal Dolphin Swim, the adventure continues! Relax on one of the island’s idyllic powder-white sand beaches. Whether you want to bask in the sun, take a refreshing dip, or simply unwind, the beach offers the perfect escape.
Take a break from the water to explore our Bahamian Village, where you can shop for authentically Bahamian souvenirs like handmade straw bags, pepper sauces, and rum cakes. Challenge your family to a friendly game of corn hole or oversized board games, right in the heart of this vibrant cultural hub. If you're looking for more ways to connect with marine life, our Stingray Island Bahamas experience lets you wade in and interact with friendly Southern Stingrays in their natural habitat.
When it’s time to refuel, enjoy the included buffet lunch featuring a delicious selection of Bahamian and international dishes. Choose from a burger, hotdog, veggie burger, or chicken burger, paired with BBQ chicken, Bahamian peas n’ rice, fresh salads, corn, French fries, and juicy tropical fruit. Know Before You Go
- Program times are assigned the morning of and communicated upon check-in at the Welcome Center.
- All guests are required to complete a WAIVER prior to check in. Parents must complete for all minors.
- Provided Life vests are mandatory for all participants in the Royal Dolphin Swim.
- Guests do not have to be strong swimmers, but must feel comfortable in deep water while wearing a life vest.
Photo & Video
- To ensure the safety of our animals and guests, personal cameras, cell phones, GoPros or other electronic devices cannot be brought onto the platform during the animal program.
- Our professional photo & video staff will be capturing your animal interaction that can be digitally sent to you following your session (additional fee). Be sure to stop at the Photo Lab to order these special memories of your once-in-a-lifetime experience before you leave Blue Lagoon Island.
Restrictions
- The Royal Dolphin Swim is available to guests ages 6 and over.
- Guests ages 6 to 12 must be accompanied in the water by a responsible, ticketed parent/guardian participating in the Royal Dolphin Swim. Parent/guardian must be at least 18 years of age.
- Guests ages 13 to 17 must be accompanied on the island by a parent/guardian (with ticket in any program).
- Guests must have the ability to go up and down ladders to access platform.
- Pregnant women are not allowed in the Royal Dolphin Swim program.
- Guests age 5 or younger are not allowed to participate in the Royal Dolphin Swim program but may observe for free if attended to on the dock by a responsible parent/guardian with any program ticket.
- No drones, scuba equipment or metal detectors are allowed on the island.
- No outside food or drinks are allowed on the island.
- Blue Lagoon Island reserves the right to refuse service to any guest under the influence of alcohol or any illegal drugs.
Cancellation Policy
- No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 24-hours prior to the booked program. Groups may require a longer cancellation period depending on size.
- No refunds will be issued for guests that do not meet the program requirements for age, physical fitness, maternity reasons or who violate company policies.
- Blue Lagoon Island reserves the right, under certain circumstances, to omit specific behaviors or interactions from the animal programs.
